Jake Polledri turned to Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy after he suffered a significant injury

Jake Polledri Plays Rugby for Gloucester and Italy, but a significant injury led him to turn to HBOT after a recommendation by his teammate, Jonny May.
Jake was playing for Italy in the Autumn Nations Cup when he slipped while running. He heard the snap as he fell, and immediately felt significant pain.
He’d suffered a fracture with major ligament damage to the ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament), PCL (Posterior Cruciate Ligament) and LCL (Lateral Collateral Ligament). As well as a ruptured hamstring, a torn calf and nerve damage. It was a significant, long-term injury, which could have been career-ending!
Two weeks after the injury, Jake had major knee reconstruction surgery and began looking into the various options to support his recovery.
Chose HBOT After Recommendation from Teammate, Jonny May
His Gloucester teammate, Jonny May, is a big advocate of HBOT and recommended it to him.
“After my injury, I started looking into HBOT and other therapies, after doing some research and speaking to my medical team, decided Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy was a perfect fit for me.”
HBOT has Supported Jake’s Return to Playing
“Using the Henshaw chamber has quickly become a way life, has helped improve my sleep, which helped my energy levels and my emotional wellbeing, particularly in the early stages of recovery. I have now returned to a low-level conditioning programme, feel fresh for each session and am seeing daily improvements.”
Just five months after his injury, which could have ended his career, his knee is starting to feel much stronger, and Jake is feeling positive about his future rugby career.
